1. Who is Ayumi Takano?

Wikipedia says “Japanese actress, TV personality, coordinator and representative of the production company Sagami based in Turkey.’’ However, to be precise, I am an actress and founder of the advertising agency named SAGAMI.

2. What kind of company is SAGAMI?

SAGAMİ is a company that provides branding consulting and advertising production services to companies whose goal is to have their products and services be recognized as prominent brands in Turkey.

3. Where did the name SAGAMİ come from?

I was born in Tokyo, but my roots are in Odawara, where Sagami Bay is located. All of my relatives used the trade name ‘Sagami’ when doing business, so I followed suit.

4. Why did you establish this company?

I observe that Japanese companies have had difficulties in Turkey, due to cultural and business differences. I thought that my areas of expertise could contribute to their success in their respective businesses.

5. What is your “area of expertise”?

Having lived in Turkey for more than 25 years, I understand firsthand the differences in consumer awareness, business practices, and culture. I can convey qualitative data rooted in the lives of Turkish consumers in an easy-to-understand manner to our clients and analyze the current situation using quantitative data based on surveys. Furthermore, I am known by a wide range of people in Turkey because of my background as a performer, and as part of the advertising content, I can contribute to our clients in that sense as well.

6. What exactly does SAGAMİ do?

Our main business is branding consultancy, advertising strategy and planning, digital advertising placement, SNS operation, and production of videos, brochures and other advertising material.

7. What is your goal?

Our goal is to be a company that can be proud of helping at least two companies establish well-known brands by 2030.

8. What is your mission?

Our company mission to provide happiness to both my employees and myself by constantly updating our technology and services to satisfy our clients.

9. What is your wish for your employees?

First, our slogan “Turkish warmth, Japanese discipline.

Second, I would like them to always think about what they need today for their own happiness tomorrow. In the course of our work, many things will happen and it may be difficult, but I want them to turn all their efforts into their own happiness, and as a manager, I would like to support them to achieve that.

10. What do you hope for your clients?

I would like to work with people who share our desire to grow their business together with us as a partners.

11. Are you no longer acting?

I have never stopped performing in the theater and still continue. If a good project comes my way for TV or film, why not? I’ll think about it then.
